The Notre Dame Basilica is a beautiful place. It's located in Montreal, Quebec in the old portion of downtown (Vieux Montreal)
Though a religious scene, for me it is a spiritual one. It's unique because the stained glass depicts pictures of Montreal's history, rather than religious scenes. There is no detail missed inside, being there brought me such a sense of peace. If you're ever in Montreal and need a quick intermission from life, its easy to get lost in your thoughts here ... and big enough to physically get lost too!
